Today I am sharing a kids Christmas party that I created with the help of my Cricut Explore Air 2. I love creating Christmas parties for my sons and they enjoy it as well as the activities that they do during the party.
Disclosure: I am part of the Cricut Blogger Program and I receive products/compensation in exchange for craft ideas. But all opinions are 100% my own. My Cricut Explore Air 2 has been such a lifesaver for my mini parties, I can easily create simple yet darling decorations for my parties. The first thing I did was set up my party so I could see what decorations I needed to add more of a Christmas touch. When overlooking my party I knew I needed a banner, cupcake toppers, tags, and some sort of embellishment on the milk glasses.
Next I opened up the Cricut design space and began choosing from the pre made designs that they offer. Here is my saved project where you can personally see the designs I used as well as the sizing. When you are ready to cut you do not have to attach the items like in previous projects I have shared. Everything is color coordinated and it will be separated into different mats. All the paper designs were cut using the Cricut Cardstock Holiday Sampler.Almost all the decorations were made with cardstock except the candy canes. The candy canes were cut out on Cricut vinyl so that I could embellish my milk glasses with it.Once everything is cut out you will need to do some light assembly, it will not take long to put together. The vinyl cutouts might be the most time consuming part of everything because you need to weed out all the tiny pieces but even doing all that will not take more than minutes. Once you remove all the small pieces you will use the Cricut regular transfer tape to take it off the liner and place it onto the milk glass. Now to share the kids Christmas party with you. Here is the dessert table where I featured the banner, cupcake toppers, and tags.
I added some ornaments to the banner just to add more Christmas flair to it.I served some popcorn in Christmas tree treat cups. My boys love popcorn so I try to incorporate it into my mini parties when I can.I bought these wood ornaments that the kids could decorate themselves, they came in a pack of 3 but I opened them up and placed them in individual clears bags. To top off the bags I added the tag I made and I think they turned out so adorable. The cupcakes were decorated with a simple one cut ornament. I think it added a perfect decor touch to the store bought cupcakes. The tablescape was adorned with the classic Christmas colors of red and green then I added a small touch of gold. The centerpiece was s a small wooden sleigh that was filled with ornaments. Here are the milk glasses that I decorated with the candy cane vinyl and a paper straw with a candy cane print. I think these are my favorite things from the entire party.I hope my kids Christmas party was able to inspire you to create your own party for the kids in your life.
