Before kids on New Year’s Eve we use to go to our friends house and party until well past midnight. It is safe to say that things have changed since then haha now we stay home and celebrate with family. We bring in the new year with our kids and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Since the kids celebrate with us now I thought putting together a kids New Year’s Eve tablescape would be a fun way to include them into our celebration. When I was thinking of what the kids tablescape should include I knew right away that the colors I wanted to use were black, silver, and hints of white. The next thing I for sure wanted on there were fun party hats. With the help of my Cricut Explore Air 2 I was able to create them in no time. I actually created 3 projects for this table using my Cricut machine and all 3 were easy one cut projects.Just open your Cricut Design Space and click the project I have saved here, in the project I have included the hat template with the size I used.
For the hats I used Cricut’s foil embossed paper in silver and white. The pack comes with 4 different designs and I was able to get 2 hats onto one 12×12 paper. How cute did the hats turn out!! They are by far my favorite part of the table they were just the perfect adorable size and I loved the paper patterns I used.
My next project was the paper straw decoration, this was a write and cut project that I was able to achieve with my Cricut Explore Air 2. Even though this is a 2 step process it does it all in one mat loading, first the machine writes the phrase then it does the simple one cut of the frame. I used the silver pen that came in this Cricut Explore pen pack. I really appreciate the writing function that I can use with my machine because I am not a fan of my own writing so this makes it much easier. The final project was to decorate the milk glasses for the kids drinks. All I did was add a 2018 to the glass with the Cricut glitter vinyl. It gave the glasses the perfect amount of sparkle for this kids new year’s eve tablescape.Hopefully these 3 easy projects help inspired you to create your own party decorations, with the help of your Cricut machine of course. If you don’t have your own machine or are looking to upgrade the one you have make sure to enter the giveaway below for a chance to win a Cricut Maker.
