Today I am sharing a heart Valentine’s Day picnic party that I created and was featured in the 2015 Spring issue of Everyday Party Magazine. It was so fun just sitting on the grass enjoying lunch and desserts while relaxing.
A picnic party is a simple and budget friendly type of party to host, it isn’t too much of a hassle to put together. Simple desserts, treats, and a quick lunch make an appearance at our heart Valentine’s Day picnic party.
Store bought cupcakes were decorated with my heart cupcake toppers which are listed here in my shop.
Store bought cookies were placed on a cake plate lined with heart shaped doilies. I don’t always have time to bake and cook everything for the parties I throw and usually these little parties are done last minute so store bought goodies are a good way to save time.
A heart banner that I created.
I made jello and placed it inside these push up pops that I decorated with washi tape and paper hearts.
I filled these mini dessert shooters with strawberry yogurt and taped a cute straw that I cut down to size, they were a huge hit with my sons they thought the little straw was funny.
Our picnic place setting was just perfect, inside the gable boxes was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a mini fruit cup. Those drinking cups were actually the inspiration for the decorations, I just thought they were so cute and I loved the colors.
