Heart Valentine's Day Picnic Party
Today I am sharing a heart Valentine’s Day picnic party that I created and was featured in the 2015 Spring issue of Everyday Party Magazine. It was so fun just sitting on the grass enjoying lunch and desserts while relaxing.

Heart Valentine's Day Picnic Party

A picnic party is a simple and budget friendly type of party to host, it isn’t too much of a hassle to put together. Simple desserts, treats, and a quick lunch make an appearance at our heart Valentine’s Day picnic party.Heart Valentine's Day Picnic PartyStore bought cupcakes were placed inside a heart theme cupcake liner. I also decorated them with heart cupcake toppers that I made using my cutting machine.heart cupcake toppersStore bought cookies were put on a cake plate lined with heart shaped doilies. I don’t always have time to bake and cook everything for the parties I throw and usually these little parties are done last minute so store bought goodies are a good way to save time.

sprinkle cookiesSince this is a heart Valentine’s Day picnic party I wanted hearts everywhere lol. So I used my cutting machine to make a heart banner for my snack table.

I filled mini dessert shooters with strawberry yogurt and taped a cute heart straw that I cut down to size. They were a huge hit with my sons they thought the little straw was funny. The straw only worked as decor because the yogurt is too thick to go through a regular straw.

Our picnic place setting was just perfect, inside the gable boxes was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as well as a mini fruit cup. Those drinking cups were actually the inspiration for the decorations, I just thought they were so cute and I loved the colors.
