I used some checkered fabric for my table cover and made my paper decorations using my Sizzix Big Shot and dies. For my banner I used the Cupcake or Ice Cream Cone w/Cherry & Candle die and added the fun ice cream cones to some white and red striped scrapbook paper.
Now for the ice cream, here is a budget friendly tip I bought the huge party pail and just scooped some into a smaller container and just refilled as necessary. To decorate my ice cream glasses and add some of the retro 50s touch I used the Retro Sign #2 die as well and the Thinlits Die Set 11PK – Retro TV, Camera & Fab 50s
I gave my guests two options in which to serve their ice cream, either in a ice cream glass or in cones. I placed my sundae centerpiece on top of my cake plate and I also used it to display the cones. For my cupcakes, I added a straw and a paper cherry to make them look like “ice cream milkshakes” I think they turned out so cute. An ice cream party is a great hit and a fun way to kick off those Summer parties!!! Remember to make it more fun by making it a fab 50s Ice Cream Party.
