Let’s roll out the red carpet for these simple Oscars party ideas. It’s that time of year when celebrities dress up in gorgeous designer clothing and enjoy a night honoring the best films of the previous year. While we don’t all get to attend this event we can still enjoy the night from the comfort of our own home where we can watch the beautiful and not so beautiful gowns and guess who are the winners of the night. Today I will share some easy and simple party ideas that you can easily recreate yourself.
I went with the traditional Oscars colors black and gold with a hint of red. For my backdrop I used my die cutting machine to cut out some gold glittered stars and taped them to the wall. I also cut out smaller gold stars and scattered them on the table.
To incorporate the red I served some yummy red velvet cupcakes. They were mini cupcakes which means you can have more than one guilt free 😉 Serve your drinks in some champagne flutes and add a black and white striped straw.
I served up the popcorn in some black popcorn boxes and just taped small gold stars to the front of the box to tie it in to the rest of the table.
For the final treat, I served some Brazilian nuts on appetizer spoons. At the end of the night you can’t send you guests home without a fabulous swag bag right? For our swag bags I used a plain black bag and dressed it up with white and gold striped tissue paper. Inside the swag bag there was a fashion magazine, nail polish, hand lotion, and a box of chocolates.
Hopefully these simple Oscars party ideas gave you some inspiration. Are you planning on dressing up and hosting an Oscars viewing party this year?
