I am so excited to be a part of Laura Kelly’s Halloween Popcorn Box Party. Frankenstein is my favorite Halloween monster but my second favorite is a witch. I find witches to be very interesting from Samantha in the show Bewitched to the Sanderson sisters in the movie Hocus Pocus (which is one of my favorite Halloween movies). With that in mind I decided to make a witch popcorn box. You don’t need many supplies to create your very own witch popcorn box. You will need:
- Popcorn Box
- Felt (black, yellow, and orange)
- Green cardstock
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes
- Black Marker
First I traced the side of the popcorn box onto the green card stock and repeated that four times one for each side. If you have green wrapping paper that would probably be easier but I didn’t have any which is why I went with card stock. Next I glued all the four pieces to the popcorn box.
After that I grabbed the yellow felt and started shaping the witches hair. In order to do that I measured the top width and added an extra inch to each side then I rounded the top corners. On the length I cut strips to make it resemble hair more. Once I completed that I glued it to the popcorn box.
Next I took the black felt and cut out a witch hat shape and I added a orange strip to it to add a little bit of detail. When you are done with the hat you can also glue that to the top of the box.
The final step was to add the face details. The details were to glue the googly eyes, draw a nose and mouth with a black marker, cut out lips from orange felt, and finally a mole from the black felt.
This little witch will be a great addition to a Halloween movie night. Make sure to check out the other boxes in the Halloween popcorn box party created by amazing bloggers
