Today I am sharing a super easy tutorial for this witches brew drinking glass. I love using these type of glasses on my tablescapes. I can easily reuse them and customize them over and over. The vinyl comes off easily allowing me to change up the theme on them whenever I need something different.
Disclosure: I am part of the Cricut Blogger Program and I receive products/compensation in exchange for craft ideas. But all opinions are 100% my own. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to customize my glass bottle, it makes it so easy to choose different images and I can even add a name to the glass bottle to make them personalized. You can see how I personalized these glass bottles with a name here.
Let’s get started with the supplies you will need:
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Regular Cricut Vinyl
- Regular Transfer Tape
- Cricut Basic Tool Set
- Glass Bottle
After you gather your supplies you will need to launch the Cricut design space. Next, go to images and search for “halloween labels”. That’s another great thing about Cricut they have such a great library with ready made images that you can simply select and use. When you search for the halloween label you will find the one I used for my drink glass.
Once you insert the image you can resize it so it can fit your bottle. The size that worked for the bottle I used was 2.5 inches in length and 1.5 inches wide. Once you resize it click “make it” and follow the on screen instructions.
Don’t forget to have your dial on VINYL.
When your Cricut Explore Air 2 finishes cutting out your label you will need to weed out the pieces you do not need.
After you finish weeding out those little pieces place your transfer tape on top and use your scraper to make sure the vinyl sticks on well to your transfer tape.
Lift off the transfer tape and place it over the glass bottle and position it where you want. Again, use your scraper to make sure the vinyl sticks properly to the glass. Lift off the transfer tape and then you are done.
You now have your custom witches brew drinking glass ready to be set on your Halloween party tablescape. Add a fun stripe straw and you can even place a plastic bat ring as a favor for your party guest.
