The new year is upon us and in the blink of an eye it will be 2018. I whipped up a New Year’s Eve tablescape to share some inspiration with you. For my table this year I wanted to add some beautiful pops of purple which just happens to be Pantone’s color of 2018, well they chose ultra violet but it’s similar.

When I was thinking of what to do for my new year’s eve tablescape the color purple immediately came to my mind and I knew I wanted to incorporate it somehow. The next thing I did was go to the Oriental Trading website and began looking around their awesome party supplies. I first searched for purple items and saw these beautiful wine glasses and fell in love with them. After choosing those glasses everything else fell into place too. The plates I found had some fun colors on them that incorporated perfectly into the table.
Everyone loves taking pictures to look back on and to add to their social media to share with their friends and family that they can not spend the celebration with. So I knew there had to be some photo props available for use, I placed some in a vase and set them out as the centerpiece. I also placed some beaded necklaces around the vase that could also be used as photo props.
Another fun photo prop and party favor were tiaras and top hats with the words Happy New Year on them. The guest can put them on take pictures with them or use them all night to be in an extra festive mood.
I love how the whole table turned out and the pops of purple were one of my favorite details. I have a feeling I will be using those wine glasses quite a bit on my 2018 tablescapes. After all ultra violet is the color of the new year.
