How to make a Patriotic table place card in less than 15 minutes

It’s that time again, CRAFT LIGHTNING!!! Craft lightning is a series where bloggers get to participate and we each share a craft that is done in 15 minutes or less (excluding dry time). The material to use this time around was wood and right away I knew I wanted to make something with a wooden star. I didn’t know exactly what I was making until I arrived at the craft store. When I was in the aisle with the wood cutouts I saw these chalkboard stands and I thought I can make a Patriotic table place card.

Disclosure: Post contains affiliate links, read my full disclosure HERE.I knew I could get this project done in 15 minutes because all the pieces were pretty much done. I did have to do a little bit of work though to get my end result, but like I said it only took 15 minutes.

Patriotic table place card supplies (some items are similar to what I used):

Wood star cutout
Mini chalkboard stand (I bought mine at Michaels but the linked ones can also work)
Glue gun
Plaid FolkArt Acrylic Paint in Cobalt Blue
Plaid FolkArt Glitterific Paint in Clear Hologram (couldn’t find the one I used but here is a similar one)
Trays
Foam Brush

The first thing to do is paint the wood star blue and let it dry.

Once it is dry you can add the clear hologram glitterific paint right on top of the blue and let that dry.

Now you just add a dollop of hot glue to one of the top corners and place your glittered wooden star right on top.

And that’s it. You now have a Patriotic table place card ready to be set on your tablescape. It doesn’t just have to work as a place card though, you can also use them as table signs. You can make a couple and run them down the center of your tablescape and each one can say a different Patriotic saying. Another way to use these is as food signs on your food or dessert table.

Such an easy craft to make that can add pizzazz to your 4th of July table. Happy crafting!!!!
