Can you believe it is back to school season already? I know I can’t! My boys still have about one more month of vacation but I already started thinking of back to school craft ideas. The first back to school project I did was this DIY color your own floral bookmark. I love how it turned out!

Disclosure: I am part of the Cricut Blogger Program and I receive products/compensation in exchange for craft ideas. But all opinions are 100% my own. Some of the links used here are affiliate read my full disclosure HERE.

For this post I teamed up with some amazing bloggers to bring you cute floral inspiration. Plus there is an AMAZING giveaway at the end of this craft tutorial.

Ok, first things first let’s gather our supplies;

Once I gathered my supplies I opened Cricut Design Space and made my bookmark. If you like the design I created you can just click here and use the one I made. If you would like to make your own here is the step by step.

First, I inserted a square shape. I unlocked the sizing so that I could make it into a rectangle shape (sizing I used was 2 inches by 6 inches). Next I added a 0.25 inch circle and placed it towards the top of the bookmark. Then I selected the 2 shapes and used the slice feature at the bottom right corner.

Once you slice the images you can move over the rectangle and it will reveal your bookmark base. You can now delete the little circles that are left over.

Next, open up your images and choose the flowers you would like to use on your floral bookmark. Once you have chosen your images insert them.

Then you will need to resize the images to make sure they fit on your bookmark. Place them on the bookmark to know how big or how small you want the flowers to be.

Now you can add text. I chose to center the text and add that to the center of the bookmark. Next, I selected all the flowers and text then at the top changed the cut option to draw.

This is what the final bookmark should look like once you change the cut setting.

Once you are done designing your bookmark it is ready to be drawn and cut out. Just click the make it button and follow the on screen steps. Make sure to place your Cricut pen in the appropriate place (as shown here).

Once you machine is done drawing and cutting you can add some ribbon through the hole to add a cute little detail.
