I am beyond excited to share this kindness book gift basket with you.  Creating a gift basket for a loved one is so fun but this one was extra special because it revolves around the idea of kindness. The theme was inspired by my friend Laura Kelly and her amazing new book Kindness on Purpose.

The first thing I did was customize the simple basket and to do that I used my Cricut Maker to cut out a Be Kind decal from the adhesive vinyl. Then I used the transfer tape to transfer it from the sheet to the basket. I scrapped the Be Kind decal onto the basket and then removed the transfer tape.  I love how it turned out! I think it was the perfect decal for this kindness themed book gift basket.  Next, I wanted to add a bookmark inside so again I used my Cricut Maker to create a customized item to the gift basket. I cut out the same decal from foil iron-on just on a much smaller scale.  I then used my Cricut EasyPress Mini to iron it onto a faux leather bookmark. I peeled off the carrier sheet while it was still warm. This is how it turned out and I think it is a great addition. Of course we now need to add a gift tag to the gift basket. I used a heart tag and custom Laura Kelly Expressionery stamp to create one that I tied to the handle of the basket.
The final step was to fill up the kindness book gift basket with the goodies which included: the Kindness on Purpose bundle, bookmark, a coffee/tea cup, and some tea. Here we have the completed gift basket and I LOVE it!!!  I hope this kindness book gift basket inspires you to create your own. And, let’s remember to be kind to one another.
