I sit at my desk a couple of times a day either to do some work on the computer, craft, help my boys with their homework, or to write out my daily to do lists. I love that in between any of those tasks I can look up and see this adorable faux Valentine snow globe. It is so cute just sitting on top of my mini cupcake stand and it took me about 5 minutes to make.

Fairfield World was kind enough to send me these Poly-Pellets last month to create a snow globe but unfortunately due to some crazy circumstances around the holidays and even at the beginning of this year I just couldn’t get around to creating a winter/holiday themed one. But with that craziness behind me I was finally able to sit down and do some crafting. As soon as I opened my craft closet I saw this glass jar that I had been saving because well of course I knew I would need it for something (and I was right). I knew that this glass jar would be just right for the project I had in mind.
- Glass jar ( I used a Oui yogurt glass that I saved)
- Fairfield Poly-Pellets
- A thin cardboard base
- Valentine foam stickers
- Glue Gun
The first thing I did was hot glue the Valentine foam stickers to a toothpick. I figured they would be more secure if I hot glued them on instead of just using the sticky back. Once the hot glue dried up I used the jar as my guide to cut down the toothpicks to make sure they would fit inside. Next I hot glued the embellishments to the thin cardboard base. I set it to the side for it to properly dry. While that dried I added my Fairfield Poly-Pellets to the glass container. After that I added hot glue to the opening of the glass jar. Then I right away closed it off with the thin card board base like you see here below. Once the hot glue finished drying I flipped it over and here are the results.
