Hey there, I am so excited to share this recycled project as part of the Creative Crafts blog hop. Since it is Spring I have been having flowers on my mind and these egg carton flowers are a great way to use up that recycled material. Before we get started on the project I wanted to let you know that there is a giveaway at the end of this post. So remember to read all the way through and enter that amazing giveaway.

- Egg carton
- Scissors
- Cricut True Control Knife
- Hot glue gun
- Paper straws
- Fairfield World Poly-Pellets
- Small jar
- Acrylic paint
The first thing I did was to cut an individual egg holder from my egg carton with my Cricut True Control Knife.
I then trimmed the top edge and cut some slits. After cutting the slits I formed the petals by making each “petal” round at the top.
Next, I painted my egg carton flower.
When that dried I added glitter to the center of the flower. Next, I grabbed some paper straws that I had in my stash and cut those in half.
I used some hot glue to adhere the straw to the flower. Once the whole flower was dry I placed them inside a small glass jar (recycled Oui yogurt jar) that was filled with Fairfield World Polly-Pellets.
And, that’s all there is to it. I love that I was able to use recycled material to make these cute flowers. These egg carton flowers can be used in many things from as simple as placing them in a jar to adding them to Mother’s Day projects or gifts. Next, week I will show you another way to use these egg carton flowers so stay tuned.
What a clever idea!
Thank you so much Michelle!
So pretty and easy to do.
