I love all the wood blanks that Dollar Tree carries for the holidays. When I saw this witch hat I knew I wanted to turn it into a Halloween witch hat tag.

The wood blanks offer so many design possibilities. You can add some patterned iron-on vinyl, mod podge on some scrapbook paper or patterned napkins, or use acrylic paint to paint on a design or just a solid color like I did with mine.
I used the Folk Art Color Shirft acrylic paint in the color purple flash. I painted on 2 coats to get nice coverage.
Next I used my Cricut Joy to cut out the words Hocus Pocus from adhesive vinyl.
Then I used transfer tape to add it onto the Halloween witch hat tag. Although the adhesive vinyl worked fine I do prefer adding iron-on vinyl to these wood blanks. Next time that is what I will do. I just find it transfers over so much easier with iron-on vinyl.
Next, I just added the twine piece that it came with and tied it off to a movie snack box. It added the perfect touch to the plain black movie snack box. This Halloween witch hat tag will also make a great name place card on a Halloween tablescape.
